Prada Fall 2003 Dress

This grey wool and mohair dress with appliqué from Prada’s Fall 2003 collection exemplifies Miuccia Prada’s ability to transform the ordinary into the desirable. Crafted from soft, black and white flecked tweed - a fabric traditionally associated with restraint and utility - the dress features ornamental appliqué detailing that elevates it into the realm of intellectual luxury. The dress has an elegant slash-neck and back of the dress is crafted from black satin. The front slit is lined with black grosgain, and the large tab at the neck is formed from the same fabric. There is a large grosgrain appliqué rose, detailed with tonal bugle beads, that sits atop the left hip.
