This top was produced as part of Christian Dior's Spring 2003 collection. Taking its lead from the macramé garments that walked the runway, this garment was produced for Christian Dior retail stores, and reflects the commercial interpretation of the collection. A thin but weighty knit, it skims the body and drapes beautifully. The string detailing is techincally complex - what else would we expect of Galliano - and is designed to wrap around the garment, knotting and intersecting with sculptural precision to cinch the waist and culimate at the back with a long fringe train.
